Vail Parade

Rowan was not so sure about the parade when it started with a bunch of Harleys, revving their engines but once they started throwing the candy, she was an instant fan! Here are pics from the day, along with an interpretive dance from Rowan.

Avon Festival...

Avon had a pre-4th of July, kid friendly Festival on the 3rd. The kid section had an "Instrument Petting Zoo" where kids could try out(and destroy) different instruments. Check out the contemporary dance sequence by Rowan at the bottom!

The Sprinkler

Rowan couldn't resist our friend's flower sprinkler and jumped in fully clothed. Guess who has her own flower sprinkler now???

Popsicles and Flowers

Here's Rowan, enjoying her popsicle in the flower garden that Aunt Mary helped us plant. Mary showed Rowan how to pick off the dead flowers and spread their seeds - unfortunately, she's having a hard time telling the difference between a dead flower and a new bud. Let's just say we've had a few casualties.

The Sleep Sack

Rowan really enjoys wearing her sleep sacks around the house(and probably other places if we would let her). She likes Mommy and Daddy to wear a sleep sack as well. One night, Rowan found where Daddy keeps his yamulkas and thought it would be fun for everyone to wear them with the sleep sack. Needless to say, we looked really cool(Thank God we don't have pictures of that).

"Eyes"

Rowan refers to sunglasses as "eyes". Here she is wearing Mommy's "eyes".

New Playset

We got Rowan a playset this summer for the backyard and it has provided hours of fun!

A tribute to Michael Jackson

I've been meaning to post this video for a while now but since the recent death of MJ, the timing couldn't be more appropriate. Here's Rowan's interpretation of the Moon Walk:
